The season is winding down and Week 18 is jam packed with games. So, let’s dive in.

Wednesday

7:00pm EST – Boston was used by Portland, who put on a goal scoring clinic, and will be looking to save face. Western New York is coming off of a come-from-behind draw against Washington and will be looking to be more on target than they were Saturday. This could be a repeat of the Portland game for Boston or be a close 1-0 game.

Here were our picks:

RJ: Boston

Chelsey: WNY

Sandra: WNY

Monica: WNY

7:00pm EST – Washington is looking to lock up home field for the semifinals, after clinching the first playoff spot with a disappointing draw Saturday night. Seattle is trying to make the playoffs and keep their current form on point. These two teams have seemingly swapped positions in the standings from previous years.

Here are our picks:

RJ: Seattle

Chelsey: Washington

Sandra: Washington

Monica: Washington

7:00pm EST – Sky Blue had a difficult loss against FCKC over the weekend and will be looking to pick up points against a dismal Orlando. Orlando lost the season series to Houston and is out of the playoff hunt, but will be looking to play spoiler.

Here are our picks:

RJ: Sky Blue

Chelsey: Sky Blue

Sandra: Sky Blue

Monica: Sky Blue

8:00pm EST – While the draw may have felt like a loss for Seattle, it felt like a win for Chicago and they’ll ride that wave of new-found goal scoring and Alyssa Naeher’s solid ninja-like keeping right into Kansas City. FCKC is possibly picking up momentum from their come-from-behind win against Sky Blue. Both teams have A+ keepers and fire power, this could be a great game.

Here are our picks:

RJ: FCKC

Chelsey: Chicago

Sandra: Chicago

Monica: Chicago

7:00pm EST – Boston is hoping to knock Portland down a rung or two. Portland is making the playoffs, short of an epic meltdown. This could go one of two ways, either Boston plays out of their minds and keeps it close, or Portland opens the flood gates.

Here are our picks:

RJ: PTFC

Chelsey: PTFC

Sandra: PTFC

Monica: PTFC

10:00pm EST – Final game of the night belongs to Portland and Houston. This may end up being the game of the day. Ohai has decided to put Houston on her back and run with it and no one is mad at her for it. Portland is looking to secure their playoff spot and Nadim is on a tear with a hat trick against Boston. If you love goals, you could be in for a show in this one.

Here are our picks:

RJ: Houston

Chelsey: Houston

Sandra: Portland

Monica: Houston

Saturday

7:30pm EST – Orlando and Sky Blue are at it again and are the only game today. Depending on the standings, this could be a do-or-die game for Sky Blue.

Here are our picks:

RJ: Sky Blue

Chelsey: Orlando

Sandra: Orlando

Monica: Sky Blue

Sunday

6:00pm EST – FCKC and Chicago finish off their season series and, with their final regular season game against Washington at Toyota Park on the 24th,  this game could be huge for Chicago in terms of standings. We’ll see which keeper stands tall and which offense does its job.

Here are our picks:

RJ: FCKC

Chelsey: FCKC

Sandra: Chicago

Monica: Chicago

7:00pm EST – Houston goes into Boston and if Ohai is on and Lloyd is heating up, it could be a long night for the Breakers. Houston still has an outside chance, but this game will mostly be for pride and table position.

Here are our picks:

RJ: Houston

Chelsey: Houston

Sandra: Houston

Monica: Houston

9:30pm EST – Portland and Western New York will be a game with huge playoff implications. Both teams are fighting to clinch a spot and both teams know how to score goals. We’ll just have to buckle up and see who wants it more.

Here are our picks:

Even though they both have something to prove, Portland has the bigger chip on their shoulder and, on paper, the more talented roster. We all went with Portland.

RJ: PTFC

Chelsey: PTFC

Sandra: PTFC

Monica: PTFC

10:00pm EST – The week comes to a close with a game that could be just as explosive as the rest. Seattle will play Washington again, with their playoff hopes on the line. We’ll see which Seattle shows up at Memorial Stadium and if that team can keep them from going home too early.

Here are our picks:

RJ: Seattle

Chelsey: Seattle

Sandra: Washington

Monica: Washington

In case you’re keeping tabs (we definitely are) here is how our prediction standings look after Week 17:

  1. Sandra 36-31
  2. RJ & Chelsey 36-37
  3. Monica 25-26
