Portland Thorns FC Forward Tyler Lussi has been suspended and fined after the NWSL disciplinary committee reviewed an incident between her and Chicago Red Stars midfielder Danielle Colaprico. The incident, described as a “violent conduct that was determined to be a major game misconduct” by the NWSL disciplinary committee, took place in the 61st minute of Saturday’s match in Chicago on August 12.

The fine is undisclosed, the suspensions will take place over the following three matches: Aug. 16 at FC Kansas City, Aug. 19 vs. Houston Dash and Aug. 26 at Seattle Reign FC.
Portland and Chicago currently sit in second and third place of this season’s NWSL standings. Both have matches tonight. Chicago will host Seattle Reign FC and Portland is visiting FC Kansas City.
